Annual Boat Parade

In early July around the 4th

  • Description: Join the fun, decorate your boat, cruise the lake in a parade formation. Prizes for best decorated boat too
  • Location: Begin and end at Balch Lake Marina
  • Time: 2:00 – 4:00 PM

Boat Poker Run

Held in late July/early August

  • Description: Buy your poker hands at the Balch Lake Marina, fill your boat with friends and head out on the lake to locate the 5 pontoon boats where you will “draw” your hand. The winning hand will be announced at the marina with the winner taking home 50% of the take.
  • Boats moored in Loon Cove, Outside the No Wake Zone in NH, Wyman Cove, The Ridge and by Greenbay Beach in Shady Nook.

Swim & Paddleboard for Balch

Early morning swim in mid-July

  • Description: Starting in Shady Nook, from First Beach to Sandy Beach.
    Entry fee $30, Benefit for BLIMP and Milfoil Awareness. All swimmers are encouraged to get as many $ sponsors as possible

Auction and Yard Sale

Held in late-July on the odd years

  • Description: The yard sale begins at 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Everyone is encouraged to donate “lightly used goods to the auction and/or auction. Donations will be accepted the day before the event

Fish Stock Music Festival

Fishstock Music Festival

Held in late-July early August

  • Description: Enjoy an evening of live music, food and fun
  • Location: Wyman Cove, 360 Francis Rd, Wakefield
  • Time 6:00 – 10:00 PM

Bake, Craft and Raffle Sale

Held in mid-August

  • Description: An annual tradition with a possible new craft addition this year. Drop your baked goods off at 8:30. Please wrap and label your goods for special preparation such as “peanut” or “gluten” free
