2006 donations, as of September 5, 2006, has reached $10,645, which represents 26% of the camps (181 camps). The average donation is higher this year - up to $58.81 per camp.
2005 donations reached a record high of $14,087, yet the number of camps decreased this year from 358 to 267, only 38%. That means the average per camp is up: $52.76 per camp.
2004 donations reached a record high: 51% (358 camps), donating an average of $36. Because of our high participation, we were one of the few lakes that received a full grant of $3,500.00 from the State of NH for the upcoming year. Their granting process is based mainly on community involvement. We had to submit a form defining how we are organized and funded. We were notified that we were ranked second to Lake Sunapee out of 62 lakes in NH that are fighting milfoil. We also received a $1,000.00 grant from the State of Maine.
